Privacy Policy

1. Collection of a user's personal data shall be subject to the Personal Data Protection Law of Taiwan Province. No personal information of users will be collected online without prior consent of the user. 

2. Our server will automatically record web pages that have been read by a user and the user's address, which will be used as the basis for content and system improvement and policy evaluation. This information shall be used only for statistical analysis and shall not involve any information that could be used to identify the user.

3. When the user browses the web page, a cookie (a small tagged text file) will be created in the user's computer, which does not contain data sufficient to identify the user, but records the personal service settings by the user on the page. The TPC web server will only read records of the user's activities on the current site from the cookie. It shall not record the user's activities on any other website.

4. This privacy protection statement takes effect from the date of issue, and is subject to change from time to time following sufficient updates and notifications due to amendment to laws and regulations and improvements to social environment and technologies.

Copyright Statement

1. Except as specified otherwise under the Copyright Law (e.g., law, order, script compiled by an employee, and press releases, as required under Article 9 of the Copyright Law), any information contained on the TPC Research Institution's site, including text, photographs, images, audio, video, and other information, shall be protected under the Copyright Law.

2. Any of the aforesaid information can be used by any user and the public, except as specified otherwise under the Copyright Law.

3. Any information on this site which is protected under the Copyright Law shall be used only with the prior consent or authorization of the copyright owner, except for a reasonable purpose.

4. A "reasonable purpose" shall include:
(1) any literature published on this website in the name of the TPC Research Institution, with its copyright owned by TPC, or with the prior authorization of any other intelligent property owner, which shall be used reasonably, with the source referred to;

(2) the reproduction of any information on this site for non-profit, personal or family purposes;

(3) reference to any information on this site for the purpose of a report, comment, teaching, or research or any other legal purpose, with the source referred to;

(4) any other proper purpose, as stated under Articles 44 through 65 of the Copyright Law.

5. The right to manage electronic information as stated on this site shall not be removed or altered without prior approval, unless the removal or alteration to manage electronic information for proper use is stated in the literature under Article 80 1) of the Copyright Law, and except where removal or alteration thereof is necessary in recording or conversion of the transmission system.
